Clinical Observation of Du Meridian Bone Piercing Surgery for the Treatment of Axial Ankylosing Spondylitis,Based on the Theory of Du Meridian Tendon Meridian
Objective:To explore the clinical effect of using Du Meridian bone piercing surgery to treat axial ankylosing spondylitis under the guidance of Du Meridian Tendon Meridian theory. Methods:Fifty patients with axial active anky-losing spondylitis who have not shown significant results in conventional treatment for more than six months from March 2023 to March 2024 were selected as the study subjects.Using a randomized controlled trial method, the study subjects were divided into a control group and an observation group, with 25 cases in each group. The control group was mainly given etanercept injection to control the condition, while the observation group received combined treatment with Du Meridian bone piercing surgery on this basis. After one month of treatment, the BASFI(Ankylosing Spondylitis Functional Index)score,BathBASDAI(Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity)score,VAS(Spinal Pain)score, joint activity(occipital wall distance, finger to ground distance,Schöber test, morning stiffness time),erythrocyte sedi-mentation rate(ESR),and C-reactive protein(CRP)levels were compared between the two groups of patients before and after treatment. Results:After treatment, the observation group showed significant improvements in BASFI score,BASDAI score,VAS score, joint range of motion,ESR,and CRP levels, with statistical significance(P<0.05)com-pared to the control group. Conclusion:The combination of biological agent etanercept injection and Du Meridian bone piercing surgery has a more significant therapeutic effect on axial ankylosing spondylitis, which can effectively alleviate patients'pain, improve spinal function, and have fewer side effects and good safety.
