The research and development of marine drugs has received extensive attention and attention around the world.Every country is actively exploring new drugs in the ocean to meet the resource demand brought by economic de-velopment and population increase.As a country with a long history of using marine drugs,China has also made re-markable achievements in recent years.However,due to the lack of the guidance of the theory of tropism of nature and taste of traditional Chinese medicine,these newly discovered marine medicinal materials can not be effectively compati-ble with other Chinese medicinal materials in clinical application,which limits the clinical application of marine Chinese medicinal materials in traditional Chinese medicine.Based on the analysis of ancient herbal literature and modern herbal works,combined with the research of modern pharmacology and pharmacognosy on marine drugs,this paper discusses the existing problems and solutions in the current research of marine Chinese medicine,hoping to provide some ideas for the medicinal use of modern marine resources,especially the development and utilization of marine Chinese medicine.
