The new industrial revolution,characterized by the digital economy and artificial intelligence,is driving revolutionary changes in human socio-economic activities,production methods,and lifestyles at an unprecedented speed.The proposal for new quality productive forces has caused strong reactions nationwide.In just a few months,the academic community has interpreted the concept,theoretical logic,and implementation path of new quality productive forces from different perspectives.The digital economy and artificial intelligence are fundamental indicators of technological progress in the new era.Under the synchronous promotion of strategic emerging industries such as the Internet,block-chain,artificial intelligence,intelligent manufacturing,modern transportation,new energy,new materials,and new medicine,as well as future industrial technologies,new quality productive forces fundamentally different from traditional productivity has been formed.Therefore,fully understanding the internal logic of the development of the digital economy,deeply analyzing the connotation and characteristics of the new quality productive forces,and clarifying the interaction between the digital economy and the new quality productive forces are important theoretical and practical innovations for developing new quality productive forces and realizing Chinese modernization.For this purpose,firstly,it is necessary to elucidate the theoretical logic behind China's development of the digital economy and new quality productive forces.Secondly,analyzing the connotation and characteristics of the digital economy from the three aspects of informatization,the internet,and digital transaction development,and measuring the development level of the digital economy in each province,city,and autonomous region is essential.Thirdly,studying the connotation characteristics of new quality productive forces from three different dimensions:Workers,labor objects,and means of production,is necessary.It can thus be said that scientific technology innovation,institutional optimization,and factor synergy are significant pathways for leveraging the digital economy to promote the development of new quality productive forces.
