Analysis of the Impact of Pipe Jacking Construction Process on Embankment Crossing
In order to meet the increasing demand for urban infrastructure construction in water-rich areas, the construction of pipe jacking through embankments is becoming more common.Analyzing the impact of construction of pipe jacking through embankments on slope stability is crucial to ensure the quality of underwater construction and the stability of riverbank slopes.By constructing a typical 3D slope calculation model, the deformation of river-bank slopes during pipe jacking through different positions is analyzed, and sensitivity analysis is conducted on in-dicators such as burial depth, pipe size, and slope ratio. The study finds that increasing the pipe diameter increa-ses the frictional force on the pipe wall, which in turn increases the sliding force of the slope soil, posing challenges to slope safety and stability. However, when the burial depth of the pipe jacking reaches around 6 times the pipe diameter, the impact on slope stability from pipe jacking through embankments is relatively small.
