Engineering Technology and Management Innovation of BeiDou Global Navigation Satellite System
The BeiDou Global Satellite Navigation System is independently built and operated by China and can provide global users with all-day,all-weather,high-precision positioning,navigation,and timing services.It also has functions such as message communication and international search and rescue.The BeiDou Global Satellite Navigation System adheres to the development principles of"independence,openness,compatibility,and gradualness",leverages the advantages of the new national system,comprehensively breaks through core key technologies,innovates and develops engineering management models,achieves multiple innovations in the international satellite navigation field and China's aerospace field,completes construction six months ahead of schedule,and walks out a unique national super engineering development path that is in line with China's national conditions.After more than 10 years of independent innovation and overcoming difficulties,the BeiDou Global Satellite Navigation System has successfully launched 18 rockets and 30 satellites in a high-density succession and has rapidly formed the capability of the integrated satellite-terrestrial,with its performance reaching the world's first-class level.Behind this super project,there are Chen Fangyun and Sun Jiadong,the two"two bombs and one satellite"founding fathers,but also countless front-line workers in science and technology hard work,BeiDou Global Satellite Navigation System mobilized thousands of troops,experienced thousands of difficulties and dangers,and paid a lot of hard work,and entered thousands of households,and will certainly benefit thousands of generations.In the paper,the mission requirements of the BeiDou Global Satellite Navigation System are comprehensively elaborated,including the composition of engineering tasks,task processes,and system applications.The technical characteristics and innovations of the system are summarized from the aspects of"mixed constellation,communication and navigation integration,inter-satellite links,navigation signals,rapid networking,and localization of core products".The innovative measures of the management system in terms of organization,technology,progress,quality,and operational services during the construction process of the BeiDou project are also summarized.
