The Influence Mechanism of Institutional Logic on the Initiative of Participants in Digital Interactive Platform:Multiple Case Studies Based on Intelligent Vehicle-Information System
Digital interaction platforms are important carriers of value creation in digital ecosystems, and established research has a limited understanding of the deeper motivations for the behavior of participants in digital interaction platforms. This study breaks through the research perspective of endogenous institution.Starting from the exogenous institutional environment in which the digital ecosystem exists, and through case analysis of six typical intelligent vehicle-information system, the impact mechanism of institutional logic on the initiative of participants in the digital interaction platform is explored. The study finds that there are three institutional orders for ecological participants of organizational types in intelligent vehicle-information systems, namely corporate orders, professional orders, and community orders. The ecological participants who follow different institutional orders compete with each other and form the institutional logic of the digital ecosystem. The institutional logic of the digital ecosystem affects the initiative of digital interaction platform participants through two paths:cognition and behavior. This study makes up for the lack of endogenous institutional research perspective, expands theoretical insights on the impact of institutions on digital interaction platforms and their participants, and sheds theoretical light on informal governance of digital interaction platforms.
