Research on Regional Division and Distribution Route Optimization Considering Workload Balance in Tobacco Logistics
In the cigarette logistics delivery process, common issues include unreasonable delivery area division, inflexible route layouts, and unbalanced task distribution. This paper proposes a collaborative optimization method of"Area Division—Route Planning"to obtain the final optimized route based on workload balance. In the area division stage,an M-Cut division algorithm based on latitude, longitude, and balanced delivery volumes is designed, and several small-scale delivery areas are obtained. In the route planning stage,a vehicle routing model considering workload balance and capacity constraints is constructed based on three indicators:delivery distance, delivery volume, and number of delivery households. This model produced the optimal driving path with workload balance is obtained for each sub-area.Finally,the model and algorithm proposed in this paper are applied to the actual operational scenario of the Taizhou Tobacco Distribution Center, fully verifying the effectiveness and operability of the proposed algorithm. This has certain guiding significance and management implications for regional division and intelligent distribution optimization in the tobacco logistics industry.
