Shanxi Province is an old revolutionary area with abundant red tourism resources.Taking 227 red tourism resource points in Shanxi Province as data samples,this study describes the spatial differentiation characteristics of red tourism resources and its correlation with influencing factors by using the nearest neighbor index,kernel density estimation,spatial overlay analysis and other quantitative methods.The research shows that the red tourism resources in Shanxi Province present the distribution trend of"large dispersion and small ag-glomeration".From the perspective of average nuclear density,the three core areas of red tourism resources are Changzhi,Taiyuan and Jinzhong,where average nuclear density is 38.759,18.734 and 18.431 respectively.Among the natural environmental factors,elevation and slope significantly affect the distribution of red tourism resources.Among the social and economic factors,market demand,economic level and road network density have no strong correlation with the distribution of red tourism resources.Finally,this study puts forward the de-velopment strategy of red tourism resources from the aspects of improving infrastructure,strengthening brand building marketing,and improving tourism service quality.
