Nutritional Status and Tolerance of Patients with Head and Neck Tumors Treated with Dioscorea Pills Combined with Tumor Nutrition during Radiotherapy
To investigate the effects of Dioscorea pills combined with tumor nutrition on nutritional status and tolerance of patients with head and neck tumors during radiotherapy,50 patients with radiotherapy for head and neck tumor admitted to the hospital from November 2020 to November 2021 were enrolled. The enrolled patients nutritional risk screening 2002(NRS2002)score was ≥3,requiring nutritional intervention.According to the random number table method, the patients were divided into the conventional group and the combined group,25 cases each. The conventional group was given tumor nutrition, and the combined group was given Dioscorea pills on the basis of the conventional group. The therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine and the levels of serum hemoglobin(Hb),albumin(ALB),prealbumin(PA),body mass index(BMI)and T lymphocyte subsets before and after interven-tion were compared between the two groups.Nutritional status and quality of life were assessed by the Subjective Global Nutritional Status Assessment Scale(PG-SGA)and the Quality of Life Measurement Scale(EORTC QLQ-C30),and the incidence of radiation injury was recorded to evaluate tolerance. The total effective rate in combination group(96.00%)was higher than that in conven-tional group(68.00%)(P<0.05).Serum levels of Hb,ALB,PA and BMI in 2 groups were higher after intervention than before intervention, and the combined group was higher than the conventional group(P<0.05).After intervention,CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+in 2 groups were higher than before intervention, and the combination group was higher than the conventional group, and CD8+in 2 groups was lower than before intervention, and the combination group was lower than the conventional group(P<0.05).The PG-SGA scores of the two groups after intervention were lower than before intervention, and the combined group was lower than the conven-tional group. The scores of role function, physical function, emotional function, social function and total health status of the two groups after intervention were higher than before intervention, and the combined group was higher than the conventional group(P<0.05).No patients in combination group were intolerant to radiotherapy, and the rate of radiotherapy intolerance in conventional group was 24.00%,which was higher than that in combination group(P<0.05).Dioscorea pills combined with tumor nutrition can improve the nutritional status of head and neck tumor radiotherapy patients and enhance the immune level and radiotherapy tolerance.
