Progress in the Application of Extracellular Vesicles in Wound Healing
Wound healing refers to the healing process after the body is subjected to external force and the skin and other tissues are severed or defective. If the wound healing is poor or the wound cannot heal in time, the remaining pathological scars are easy to affect patients in many ways,so it is urgent to find a more effective way to promote the healing of the wound.Extracellular vesicles,espe-cially exosomes,in addition to mediating information exchange between cells, are also important secretory products to promote wound healing. It mainly works by transporting various molecules such as DNA,RNA and proteins between cells.Relevant studies have shown that exosomes can promote wound healing by regulating inflammatory response, promoting cell proliferation and migration, angiogenesis, inhibiting scar formation and other ways, which will provide new ideas and methods for clinical treatment. Therefore, the application of exosomes in wound healing was reviewed in this study.
