Observing the Therapeutic Effects of Sanren Tang on Gastrointestinal Dysfunction after Hip Fracture Surgery in Elderly Patients
To explore the therapeutic effect of Sanren Tang on gastrointestinal dysfunction after hip fracture surgery in the elderly(Gastrointestinal dysfunction is one of the common complications after hip fracture surgery in the elderly),120 cases of elderly patients with gastrointestinal dysfunction after hip fracture surgery in the hospital from June 2019 to June 2022 were reviewed and randomly divided into an observation group(n=63)and a control group(n=57).In the observation group,Sanren Tang was used in addition to symptomatic supportive treatment, while the control group received oral pantoprazole treatment. After two weeks of treat-ment,the recovery of gastrointestinal function, treatment effectiveness, and laboratory indicators before and after treatment were recorded in both groups. After two weeks of treatment, the first flatus time in the observation group was(7.66±6.34)h,which was shorter than(9.56±7.54)h in the control group(P=0.042).Compared with the first defecation time of the control group(23.65±7.88)h,the first defecation time of the observation group(18.78±5.87)h was also shorter(P<0.001).Through monitoring, the gastrointestinal function recovery of the observation group(6.75±3.14)h was also faster than that of the control group(8.57±5.01)h(P<0.001).The postoperative hospitalization time of the observation group was(3.8±0.8)d,which was shorter than that of the control group(4.7±0.7)d(P=0.024).In terms of laboratory indicators, the albumin(ALB),hemoglobin(HGB),and red blood cell count(RBC)of the observation group were all higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Using Sanren Tang to treat gastro-intestinal dysfunction in elderly patients with hip fracture after surgery can reduce the time of first flatus and defecation, promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function, and is more effective. It is more conducive to reducing hospitalization time and improving nutri-tional status to promote rapid recovery of patients.
