The Efficacy and Safety of Combined Intervention with Edaravone Dexcamphenol and Butylphthalide in Treating Acute Cerebral Infarction with Severe Stenosis of the Cervical Artery Validation
To investigate the efficacy and safety of intervention combined with edaravone dexamethasone and butylphthalide in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction with moderate-to-severe carotid artery stenosis,108 patients with acute cerebral infarction and moderate-to-severe stenosis of carotid artery admitted to Minda Hospital Affiliated to Hubei Minzu University from March 2021 to March 2023 were selected.They were divided into 2 groups,each with 54 cases,using the random number table method.All patients were treated with intravenous thrombolysis and carotid artery stenting,the control group was treated with butalbital,and the study group was treated with butalbital combined with edaravone dexamethasone.After 90 d of treatment,the National Institutes of Health stroke scale(NIHSS)score,the brief mental state exercise(MMSE)score,cerebrovascular peripheral resistance,mean blood flow velocity,serum brain-specific protein(S100B),serum stromal cell-derived factor-1(SDF-1),whole-blood high cut-off viscosity,whole-blood low cut-off viscosity,modified rankin scale(mRS)score,barthel index(BI),and adverse reactions were recorded.After treat-ment,NIHSS score,peripheral vascular resistance,serum S100B,whole blood high cut viscosity,whole blood low cut viscosity,and mRS scores were decreased;MMSE scores,mean blood flow velocity,serum SDF-1,and BI scores were increased in both groups(P<0.05).NIHSS score,peripheral vascular resistance,serum S100B,whole blood high cut viscosity,whole blood low cut viscosity,and mRS scores were lower,MMSE score,mean blood flow velocity,serum SDF-1,and BI scores were higher(P<0.05)in the study group than in the control group after treatment.There was no difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Intervention combined with edaravone dexamethasone and butylphthalide in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction with moderate-to-severe carotid artery stenosis can help to improve the patient's haemorheology,regulate the expression of neurofac-tors,and promote the recovery of neurological function,and the safety is good.
