An Introduction to the Influence of American English on British English
As two regional variants of English,it has always been controversial whether the American English or British English is better.In recent years,American English has been spread more widely than British English for its rapid development of economics and sociology and the deep circulation of TV and movies.The present study mainly investigate the influence of American English on British English from the aspects of their words,phrases and grammars and explore the reasons of the penetration of American English in British English.
