英语阅读中的语境构建

新修订的《大学英语课程教学要求》要求大学生应具有相对较高的阅读能力.然而,国内长期以来都是基于语法和词汇的阅读方法占据主导其结果是学生们的阅读理解能力仍然很差.学者们已提出三种最为认可的阅读方法:“自上而下”,“自下而上”和“交互式阅读”.但研究表明,这三种阅读模式都有其片面性,阅读效果不甚令人满意.因此,本文尝试引入语境理论来探索如何有效提高学生的阅读理解能力.
Abstract
The newly revised College English Curriculum Requirements (2007) requires that college students have a relatively higher level of competence in English reading.However,English reading has been traditionally dominated by a grammar and vocabulary-based method in China.The result is that their reading comprehension is still poor.Scholars have proposed three widely accepted approaches for English reading:bottom-up approach,top-down approach,and interactive approach.But researches indicate that these reading approaches have their own limitations and their application in reading is far from satisfactory.So this article tries to introduce context theory to improve students' reading comprehension.
