摘要
商品在某种意义上是一个跨越中西方文化连接商品和消费者的桥梁,随着越来越多的外因产品在中国上市,商标名的翻译已经成为一种跨文化交际形式.在商标名的翻译过程中,语言规律、文化心理、审美情趣等方面的因素.商标翻译者在遵循翻译原则的同时,也要注意一些商标翻译的文化禁区,并且选择适当的方法来进行翻译.本文主要对商标翻译的原则、文化根源和方法进行讨论.
Abstract
Brand name is somewhat a bridge over commodities and consumers between Chinese and English culture.With more and more foreign products appearing on Chinese market,translation of brand names has become a form of intercultural communication.In the process of translating brand names,language laws,cultural psychology,aesthetic interest and some other factors will be considered.The translators would also pay attention to some cultural taboos and then choose appropriate methods to translate.This paper discusses the principles,cultural taboos and methods of brand name translation.
