摘要
《红字》是对悲剧人性的深刻挖掘,笔者通过对主人公所处时代的铺叙和对主人公心理发展历程的挖掘与分析,揭示了悲剧人性的真正原因在于人与社会的冲突.
Abstract
This paper argues that The Scarlet Leuer is a deep probe into the tragedy of the human nature.By means of the moral approach of literary criticism,it attempts to explore and investigate the causes of the tragedy of the human nature through Hawthorne's deep analysis of the character's psychological development and his close examination of the society in which the characters lived,and points out that the real causes of the tragedy of the human nature lie in two conflicts:conflicts between the human beings and the society;conflicts between human beings obeying the morals and thirst for liberty and true love in their heart.
