摘要
托妮·莫里森被公认为当今美国文坛最重要、最具影响力的作家之一.《宠儿》是莫里森最具历史意义、最荒诞奇特、也最有争议性的小说,为其斩获了1993年的诺贝尔文学奖.在《宠儿》中,莫里森聚焦黑人奴隶的生存困境,展现了一幅遍布创伤、饱受戕害的黑人身体的历史画卷.本文运用米歇尔·福柯的权力与性相关理论,解读作品中黑人奴隶所遭受的惨无人道的性压迫,从而揭示奴隶制的残酷与罪恶.
Abstract
Toni Morrison is acclaimed as one of the most influential and important writers in the American literary world.Beloved,her most historical,fantastic and controversial novel,won her the Nobel Prize in literature in 1993.In her masterpiece,she brings the predicament of black slaves into sharp focus,and unfolds a historical picture teemed with traumatic and infringed bodies of the enslaved blacks.Through the application of Michel Foucault's theory of power and sexuality,the paper alms to unveil the inhuman sexual oppression imposed upon the blacks and expose the brutality and evil of slavery.
