Through an examination of the circulation of versions and a study of the prefaces,post-scripts,and textual content of Jinyulu, the article suggests that the author of Jinyulu may not be either Xu Dachao of the Yuan Dynasty or Li Mo of the Ming-Qing period, but is highly likely to be a forgery by a literati with anti-Qing and revolutionary ideas during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty.Howev-er,as a forgery,Jinyulu draws on various notes from predecessors in its compilation, and thus has some value in recording the chaos and suffering during the period when various ethnic groups transitioned from division to unity.Nevertheless,it also inevitably contains exaggerations and expressions of discontent by the adherents of the former dynasty. The compiler's practical need to oppose the Qing and advocate revolu-tion results in a mixture of truth and falsehood in the content, requiring careful discrimination on our part. The wars during the Song,Jin,Yuan, and other dynasties led to an unprecedented unification of the long-divided political landscape. From the perspective of the historical development of the Chinese nation, the unification by the Yuan Dynasty holds significant historical importance. On the other hand,Jinyulu also contains records that demonstrate the interactions and integrations among various ethnic groups during wartime. The interactions and integrations among ethnic groups are historical trends, and the transition from division to unity is the theme of the historical period of the Song,Liao,Jin,and Yuan dynasties.Wars between ethnic groups also create conditions for further interactions and integrations among them.
