摘要
川端康成是日本第一位获得诺贝尔文学奖的作家.他在小说中塑造了众多栩栩如生的人物形象.本文从川端康成小说中的男性人物入手,以年龄和社会身份为界,将其分为纯真的少年、始乱终弃的青年、虚无的中年、无能的老年四种类型进行分析,并认为男性人物的创造反衬出女性形象的美好、具有作家强烈的自传性色彩、透视和反映了 20 世纪日本社会现实和民众真实生活的三重作用.
Abstract
Kawabata Yasunari is the first Japanese writer to win the Nobel Prize in Literature.Kawabata,who has written many books all his life,has created many vivid characters in his novels.This paper will start with the male characters in Kawa-bata's novels and divide them into four types based on age and social status:innocent youth,men who abandon their lovers,empty-hearted middle-aged men,and imcompetent old men.It is argued that the creation of male characters serves three functions:to contrast the beauty of female characters,to have a strongly autobiographical,and to reflect the realities of Japa-nese society and the lives of ordinary people in the 20th century.
