Study on the Bronze Inscriptions Collected in the Xinyang Museum
Most of the bronze wares in the Xinyang Museum are derived from archeological excavations, totaling 89 bronze wares with inscriptions. We have conducted information collection on their inscriptions, and taken multi-perspective photographs of these inscribed bronze wares;85 have been completed.Among them,a small part of the inscriptions is uncertain in interpretation, and identification is challenging for a few.The meanings of certain inscriptions require in-depth exploration.By combining these inscriptions with the existing literature,we aim to supplement the deficiencies in historical records, correct inaccuracies in later records, and rectify misconceptions in contemporary historical and geographical studies of Fang Guo.
