The Diagnostic Value of High-resolution MRI Scan for Pelvic Lymph Node Metastasis in Colorectal Cancer
Objective:To investigate the diagnostic value of high-resolution magnetic resonance im-aging(MRI)scans in colorectal cancer with pelvic lymph node metastasis. Methods:A total of 80 patients with colorectal cancer who were admitted to Liaocheng People's Hospital from October 2021 to October 2022 were selected, all patient underwent high-resolution MRI scans, and the results of pathological ex-amination were used as the gold standard to analyze high-resolution MRI scans for the diagnosis of colorectal cancer. The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of pelvic lymph node metastasis, and the cor-relation between MRI image features and pelvic lymph node metastasis of colorectal cancer were ana-lyzed.Results:Taking pathological examination results as the gold standard,53 cases of 80 patients with rectal cancer had pelvic lymph node metastasis, accounting for 66.25%.The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of high-resolution MRI for colorectal node metastasis were 86.79%,85.19%,and 86.25%,re-spectively.Patients with pelvic lymph node metastasis had higher proportion of blurred margins and un-even internal signal than patients with no lymph node metastasis, and shorter diameter than those without lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the critical value of the short axis in the diagnosis of colorectal cancer pelvic lymph node metastasis in MRI image features was 3.08 mm,the pre-diction sensitivity was 81.1%,and the specificity was 92.6%,which were higher than the edge and inter-nal signal predictions of 71.7%,67.9%%and 74.1%,77.8%.Conclusion:High-resolution MRI scanning can effectively diagnose pelvic lymph node metastasis in patients with colorectal cancer, especially the short axis in MRI image features has a higher predictive value for pelvic lymph node metastasis.
