Analysis of the Application Value of Low-dose Contrast Agent Pulmonary Artery CTA Examination in the Diagnosis of Acute Pulmonary Embolism
Objective:Exploring the application value of low-dose contrast agent pulmonary artery CTA examination in the diagnosis of acute pulmonary embolism.Methods:59 patients with acute pulmo-nary embolism were selected as the study subjects, and they were divided into two groups(29 patients us-ing conventional dose contrast agents and 30 patients using low-dose contrast agents). All data were pro-cessed using Multi-Planar Reforming(MPR),Maximum Intensity Projection(MIP),and Volume Render-ing(VR)post-processing at the post-processing workstation. Two senior doctors(with associate director titles or above)used a double-blind method to subjectively evaluate the image quality, and analyzed the CT values of the pulmonary artery trunk and two lower pulmonary arteries in the patient's pulmonary ar-tery CTA images using statistical methods. Objective evaluation of the detection of arterial emboli.Re-sults:There was no significant difference in subjective evaluation of image quality between conventional dose contrast agent pulmonary artery CTA and low-dose contrast agent pulmonary artery CTA.There was no statistically significant difference in CT values between the two groups of pulmonary artery trunk and lower pulmonary arteries(P>0.05),and there was a statistically significant difference in CT values be-tween pulmonary veins(P<0.05).There was no difference in the detection of pulmonary embolism be-tween the two groups. Conclusion:The subjective evaluation of low-dose contrast agent pulmonary artery CTA image quality showed no significant difference, and the objective evaluation showed no statistical sig-nificance.Moreover,there was no significant difference in the detection of pulmonary embolism, which had no impact on the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism. Moreover, the dosage of contrast agent used was relatively small. Therefore, the clinical application value of low-dose contrast agent pulmonary artery CTA in the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism is significant, effectively reducing the amount of contrast agent used,Providing a strong basis for clinical physicians to adopt effective treatment plans in a timely manner is worth promoting and applying widely.
