Analysis of Common Imaging Examination Methods for the Diagnosis of Early Gastric Cancer
Objective:This article analyzes and summarizes the diagnostic effectiveness of five com-mon imaging examination methods for early gastric cancer. Methods:Retrieve the application and latest progress of oral contrast-enhanced ultrasonography,X-ray aer-barium double contrast radiography,com-puted tomography, positron emission tomography-computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imag-ing in the diagnosis of early gastric cancer from CNKI,Chinese Medical Journal Full Text Database,Wan-fang Resource Database,PubMed and Medline Database. Results:Oral contrast-enhanced ultrasonogra-phy is commonly used for early screening of early gastric cancer because it can help detect high-risk indi-viduals;X-ray aer-barium double contrast radiography is selectively applied in the screening and local-ization of early gastric cancer;computed tomography is often used for the diagnosis and preoperative stag-ing of early gastric cancer;positron emission tomography-computed tomography is widely used in predict-ing the recurrence and prognosis of early gastric cancer;magnetic resonance imaging can play a role in the localization, staging, and evaluation of the effectiveness of radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy for early gastric cancer, but it is often not used for staging early gastric cancer. Conclusion:Oral contrast-enhanced ultrasonography,X-ray aer-barium double contrast radiography, computed tomogra-phy,positron emission tomography-computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging can all play a positive role in the screening, diagnosis, staging, and prognosis prediction of early gastric cancer, thus pro-viding an effective basis for clinical diagnosis of early gastric cancer.
