Study on the Correlation between Pericoronary Fat Parameters and Coronary Atherosclerosis Degree Based on CCTA Images
Objective:To investigate the relationship between pericoronary adipose tissue(PCAT)re-lated parameters and coronary atherosclerosis based on coronary CT angiography(CCTA).Methods:142 eligible patients undergoing CCTA examination and coronary angiography examination were retrospec-tively collected. The patients were divided on coronary angiography results into normal group and coro-nary heart disease(CHD)group, and the CHD group was divided into mild, moderate and severe sub-groups.Pericoronary fat attenuation index(FAI)and PCAT volume using a semi-automated medical imag-ing analysis software to measure the right coronary artery(RCA),left anterior descending artery(LAD)and left circumflex(LCX)at 40mm,compare the differences between the normal group and coronary heart disease group and subgroups, and analyze the correlation between PCAT parameters and the degree of coronary atherosclerosis.Results:RCA-FAI,LAD-FAI and LCX-FAI in CAD group were higher than normal group(P<0.01);In the CHD group, for RCA-FAI,severe group was higher than moderate, and moderate than mild;for LAD-FAI,severe and moderate groups were higher than mild;for LCX-FAI,se-vere group was higher than moderate and mild;for LCX-volume,severe group was less than mild.Conclu-sions:RCA-FAI,LAD-FAI,LCX-FAI,and LCX volume were associated with the degree of coronary ath-erosclerosis,and RCA-FAI was an independent predictor of the severity of coronary atherosclerosis.
