Analysis of Lung LDCT Screening Results in 1 517 Asymptomatic Physical Examination Patients
Objective:To analyze the screening results of low-dose computed tomography(LDCT)in asymptomatic physical examination patients.Methods:1 517 asymptomatic patients who underwent lung examinations in our hospital from September 2020 to September 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into low risk group(n=1 081),medium risk group(n=333),and high-risk group(n=103)based on the general information of the examiners. The screening results were analyzed. Results:The LDCT screening results showed that out of 1 517 physical examination subjects,206 were positive(166 were single nodules,40 were multiple nodules),810 were semi positive,a total of 1 016 nodules, and 9 were diagnosed with lung cancer(including 7 early lung cancer cases, accounting for 77.78%).The detec-tion rate of nodules in the low-risk group was 64.01%(692/1 081),the detection rate of nodules in the me-dium risk group was 73.27%(244/333),and the detection rate of nodules in the high-risk group was 77.67%(80/103),There was a significant difference in the detection rate of nodules between the high-risk group and the medium risk group compared to the low risk group(P<0.05);among the 9 cases of lung cancer, there were 4 males,5 females,3 smokers(including no female smokers),and 6 non-smokers(in-cluding 5 females).Among them,7 physical examination subjects were exposed to passive smoking for a long time. The diagnosis rate of lung cancer in the low-risk group was 0.46%(5/1 081),the diagnosis rate of lung cancer in the medium risk group was 0.90%(3/333),and the diagnosis rate of lung cancer in the high-risk group was 0.97%(1/103).There was no significant difference in the diagnosis rate of lung cancer among the three groups(P>0.05);the follow-up results showed that the false positive rate of nodule screen-ing was 8.77%(57/650).Conclusion:LDCT can be used for early lung cancer screening in asymptomatic physical examination population, with an early diagnosis rate of 77.78%and a low false positive rate.
