Study on Built-in Adsorption Material for Cellulose Acetate Film Archive Collection Device
Objective:To optimize the built-in adsorption material for achieving durable storage of film archives. Methods:In the present study, the domestic cellulose acetate film in 1980s is selected as the research object, and the acid-absorbing material inside the film collection device is screened and op-timized.Results:The results showed that the composite adsorption material maintained better properties of the film than the single adsorption material. When using a 1:1 ratio of molecular sieve to Ba(OH)2,the hydrophilicity, gloss, acidity and mechanical properties of the film base were better maintained.Conclu-sion:In the actual preservation process, the composite adsorption material of molecular sieve and Ba(OH)2 can be used in the film collection box to delay the occurrence of acetic acid syndrome and realize the ef-fective storage of cellulose acetate ester film. These findings have some important reference significance for the preservation of film archives.
