The Study of Corpus Callosum Damage in Parkinson's Disease by Diffusion Tensor Imaging
Objective:To study the damage of corpus callosum subregion in patients with Parkinson's disease by using diffusion tensor imaging(DTI).Methods:30 Parkinson's disease(PD)patients who were diagnosed and treated in our hospital from January 2021 to June 2022 were selected as the case group, and 30 healthy volunteers were selected as the control group. Both groups underwent DTI and 3D T1bravo scans, and the images were post-processed using a workstation. The corpus callosum was divided into genu of corpus callosum, corpus callosum body, and splenium of corpus callosum.Measured the fractional anisotropy(FA)values of each subregion of the corpus callosum in two groups and conducted statistical analysis. Results:The FA value of Splenium of the corpus callosum in patients with middle and late PD was lower than that in the control group and patients with early PD(P<0.05).There were no significant dif-ferences in FA values of genu of corpus callosum, corpus callosum body among the control group, patients with early PD and patients with middle and late PD(P>0.05).Conclusion:The splenium of the corpus cal-losum may be damaged in PD patients.
