Application of Dual-source CT Dual-energy Low-dose Scanning Technology in the Diagnosis of Thyroid Diseases and Analysis of Radiation Dose Reduction Effect
Objective:To investigate the feasibility of dual-source CT dual-energy low-dose scan-ning technology in the diagnosis of thyroid diseases and its influence on the radiation dose of patients. Methods:Sixty patients with thyroid lesions were randomly divided into control group(group A)and ex-perimental group(group B).Group A received conventional single-energy CT scanning scheme:tube volt-age was set at 120 KV and tube current was 180 mAs,while group B received dual-energy low-dose CT scanning scheme:tube voltage was set at 80/140 KV and tube current was automatically compensated scanning based on 180mAs.The image was reconstructed by filtered back projection algorithm in both scanning groups. The subjective and objective image quality and radiation dose of the two groups were evaluated, and the data were statistically analyzed. Results:The background noise and soft tissue CT val-ues of experimental group B(dual-energy low-dose scanning)were significantly higher than those of con-trol group A(P<0.00l),but there were no significant differences in SNR and subjective quality assess-ment between the two groups(P>0.05).The CT volume dose index(CTDIvol),dose length product(DLP)and effective dose(ED)of the experimental group were reduced by 52.9%,32.8%and 32.9%,respec-tively,compared with the control group(P<0.001).Conclusion:Dual-source CT dual-energy low-dose scanning technology can significantly reduce the radiation dose of patients with thyroid disease while maintaining the image quality, and has high clinical application value.
