Efficiency Analysis of CT Three-dimensional Volume Reconstruction and X-ray in Diagnosing Rib Fractures
Objective:Exploring the application efficacy of CT three-dimensional volume reconstruc-tion and X-ray in diagnosing rib fractures. Methods:Selecting 80 suspected rib fracture patients admitted to the Radiology Department of Qingjian County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from December 2021 to December 2023,all patients underwent chest multi-slice spiral CT three-dimensional volume re-construction and X-ray examination after admission. The final surgical results were used as the gold stan-dard for diagnosis, and the gold standard results showed that 43 cases were diagnosed with rib fractures and 37 cases were not diagnosed or diagnosed with other diseases. This study compared the misdiagnosis rate, sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of the two imaging methods. Results:Compared with X-ray ex-amination,multi-slice spiral CT three-dimensional volume reconstruction has a lower misdiagnosis rate(6.25%compared to 25.00%,P=0.001),higher sensitivity(93.02%compared to 67.44%,P=0.000),higher specificity(94.59%compared to 83.78%,P=0.014),and higher accuracy(93.75%compared to 75.00%,P=0.000).Conclusion:Multi-slice spiral CT three-dimensional volume reconstruction of the chest is more effective than X-ray in diagnosing rib fractures, and can clarify the types and details of frac-tures more clearly. It is recommended to use multi slice spiral CT three-dimensional volume reconstruc-tion of the chest in clinical practice to improve diagnostic accuracy.
