The Application Value of Carotid Artery Plaque Contrast-enhanced Ultrasound Combined with Clinical Data in Accurate Prediction of Ischemic Stroke Risk
Objective:To explore the application value of conventional ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)combined with clinical data in predicting the risk of ischemic stroke in ca-rotid artery plaques. Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of 117 patients who un-derwent indirect carotid artery plaque ultrasound examination from August 2022 to February 2024.Based on magnetic resonance imaging and clinical diagnosis, the patients were divided into a stroke group and a non stroke group.Using univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis to screen for independent risk factors predicting ischemic stroke. Results:Univariate analysis showed that factors such as plaque echo, surface ulcers,CEUS enhanced grading, and hypertension were significantly correlated with isch-emic stroke(P<0.05).Further multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that CEUS enhancement of 2-3 levels(OR=7.519,P=0.001),plaque surface ulcers(OR=3.721,P=0.013),and hypertension(OR=4.256,P=0.016)were independent risk factors for ischemic stroke. And the area under the ROC curve of the above indicators is 0.827,indicating high predictive value. Conclusion:The results of this study indi-cate that CEUS enhancement of 2-3 levels, plaque surface ulcers, and hypertension can serve as impor-tant reference for clinical prevention and intervention of ischemic stroke.
