Objective To explore the ideological and political elements embedded in undergraduate students nuclear medicine teaching,and to investigate effective strategies for incorporating curriculum ideological and political elements into classroom instruction and intern training through the PDCA(plan-do-check-act)cycle,ultimately to establish a comprehensive curriculum ideological and political teaching system for nuclear medicine.Methods The PDCA cycle was employed to investigate classroom teaching and intern training for undergraduate students in nuclear medicine,as well as to explore ideological and political elements.By integrating ideological and political education with the teaching content of nuclear medicine,an appropriate teaching evaluation system was developed.Through continuous iteration and improvement within the PDCA cycle,the curriculum ideological and political education was effectively integrated into the undergraduate education and teaching plan for nuclear medicine.Results Through the PDCA cycle,the integration of ideological and political elements into undergraduate nuclear medicine education has facilitated a seamless fusion between ideological and political education and professional teaching in the curriculum.This continuous optimization of teaching schemes and classroom designs has elevated the proficiency and pedagogical standards of instructors,thereby achieving the objective of enhancing medical students'humanistic qualities,reinforcing a sense of kinship and national identity,as well as further augmenting their expertise in the field.Conclusion By implementing the PDCA cycle,the integration of curriculum ideological and political education into classroom and intern training for nuclear medicine undergraduates can effectively optimize and adjust teaching content,facilitate the enhancement of medical ethics and humanistic values among students,thereby elevating the overall competence of medical students.
