Comparison and Analysis of Blood Glucose Detection by Two Collection Methods of Tail Vein Blood Sampling in Mice
Objective To compare the blood glucose values of mice detected by punctured tail vein blood collection method and cut tail blood collection method,so as to evaluate the feasibility of the two blood collection methods, and to explore a stable, effective and scientific experimental method for detecting the blood glucose value of peripheral vein blood in mice. Methods The healthy C57BL/6J mice were selected, and blood samples were collected by puncture tail vein blood collection method and cut tail blood collection method to detect their fasting blood glucose values. The differences in blood glucose values measured by blood samples collected by the two blood collection methods were compared, and their correlation was analyzed. Results The blood glucose value was(7.58±0.92)mmol/L by puncture tail vein blood collection method, which was compared with(7.61±1.02)mmol/L by cutting the tail blood collection method, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Whereas there was a positive linear trend between the detection of FBG by two blood collection methods and the regression analysis equation was:y(cut tail blood collection method)=1.898+0.746x(puncture tail vein blood collection). Conclusion There is no difference in blood glucose values detected by punctured tail vein blood collection method and cut tail blood collection method. The blood glucose values detected by the two blood collection methods have a positive linear trend.
