Efficacy and Safety of Medium/long-chain Triglyceride Emulsion of Propofol in the Intravenous Anesthesia of Elderly Patients with Fracture
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of medium/long-chain triglyceride emulsion of propofol in the intravenous anesthesia of elderly patients with fracture. Methods A total of 66 elderly patients with fracture who were diagnosed and treated in our hospital from May 2020 to May 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 33 patients in each group. The control group was treated with long-chain triglyceride emulsion of propofol for intravenous anesthesia, and the observation group was treated with medium/long-chain triglyceride emulsion of propofol for intravenous anesthesia. The injection pain rate, pain score, hemodynamic indexes[heart rate(HR),mean arterial pressure(MAP)]at different time points, serum endothelin(ET)and calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP)concentrations, onset and duration of pain retention time, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The injection pain rate and pain score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in HR and MAP between the two groups before anesthesia induction(P>0.05),while the HR and MAP of the two groups decreased after intubation, but the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).After intubation,ET decreased and CGRP increased in the two groups, but ET and CGRP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The onset time of pain in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the duration of pain was longer than that in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 9.09%,which was lower than 21.21%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Medium/long-chain triglyceride emulsion of propofol for intravenous anesthesia has a good effect in elderly patients with fracture, which can improve the anesthetic effect, reduce the injection pain, reduce the injection pain rate, and has little effect on the hemodynamic indexes of patients.Meanwhile,it can regulate the concentration of plasma CGRP and ET,shorten the onset time of pain block, prolong the duration of pain block, and has low incidence of adverse reactions and good safety.
