Analysis of Clinical Characteristics of Children with Influenza A and Influenza B Viruses
Objective To analyze the clinical characteristics of children with influenza A and influenza B viruses. Methods A total of 70 children with influenza diagnosed and treated in our hospital from January 2020 to May 2022 were selected as the research objects, including 36 children with influenza A viruses and 34 children with influenza B viruses. The levels of C-reactive protein(CRP),white blood cell(WBC),absolute value of neutrophil(NEU),platelet,interleukin(IL)-6,CRP,and the proportion of CRP,WBC and NEU were compared between the two groups.Meanwhile, the incidence of clinical symptoms(nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, runny nose, sore throat, muscle soreness, cough, wheezing),T lymphocyte(CD3+,CD4+,CD8+)levels and complications(viral pneumonia, convulsions)were compared between the two groups. Results The levels of platelet count and IL-6 in children with influenza A viruses were higher than those in children with influenza B viruses(P<0.05),there was no significant difference in CRP,WBC and NEU levels between the two groups(P>0.05).The proportion of CRP>5 mg/L,NEU>7.0×109/L and WBC>10×109/L in children with influenza A viruses was lower than that in children with influenza B viruses(P<0.05).The incidence of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and runny nose in children with influenza A viruses was lower than that in children with influenza B viruses(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference in the incidence of sore throat, muscle pain, cough and wheezing between the two groups(P>0.05).The CD3+,CD4+and CD8+of children with influenza A viruses were lower than those of children with influenza B viruses(P<0.05).The incidence of viral pneumonia and convulsions in children with influenza A viruses was higher than that in children with influenza B viruses(P<0.05).Conclusion There are differences in clinical characteristics between children with influenza A and influenza B viruses.Platelet count,IL-6,clinical symptoms, complications and immune function indexes can be compared to identify and judge,so as to provide basis for clinical treatment.
