Effect of Developmental Care Nursing Model on the Growth and Development of Low-birth-weight Infant
Objective To study the effect of developmental care nursing model on the growth and development of low-birth-weight infant. Methods A total of 62 low-birth-weight infants admitted to our hospital from February 2020 to February 2022 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 31 infants in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was combined with developmental care nursing mode on the basis of the control group. The neonatal growth index, incidence of feeding intolerance,Apgar score, mental development index(MDI),nutritional index and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The body weight, height and head circumference of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of neonatal feeding intolerance in the observation group was 6.45%,which was lower than 19.35%in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the Apgar score and MDI of newborns in the two groups were higher than those before intervention, and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, serum prealbumin and hemoglobin in the two groups were higher than those before intervention, and those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was 9.68%,which was lower than 22.58%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The developmental care nursing model can promote the growth and development of low-birth-weight infant, improve their nutritional status, reduce feeding intolerance, improve neonatal Apgar score, promote neonatal intellectual development, and prevent low-weight-related complications. It has important clinical nursing effects.
