Nursing Effect of Integrated Psychological Nursing in Elderly Patients with Paranoid Schizophrenia
Objective To explore the application effect of integrated psychological nursing in elderly patients with paranoid schizophrenia.Methods A total of 80 elderly patients with paranoid schizophrenia admitted to Jiamusi Welfare Institute for Mental Patients from March 2019 to March 2022 were selected and divided into control group(40 patients)and observation group(40 patients)according to the random number table method.The control group received routine nursing intervention,and the observation group applied integrated psychological nursing on the basis of it.The medication compliance,psychiatric symptoms[Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale(PANSS),Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory Paranoid Subscale(MMPI-Pa)],subjective feelings and acceptance ability[Insight Assessment Scale(SAI),Self-Esteem Scale(SES),Acceptance of Others Scale(AOS)],Social Function Rating Scale(SSPI),Schizophrenia Quality of Life Scale(SQLS)were compared between the two groups.Results The excellent and good rate of medication compliance in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The scores of PANSS and MMPI-Pa in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The scores of SAI,SES and AOS in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After nursing,SSPI in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and SQLS was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Integrated psychological nursing can improve the medication compliance of elderly patients with paranoid schizophrenia,relieve their mental symptoms,and improve their insight,self-esteem and interpersonal acceptance,which is conducive to the improvement of social function and quality of life.
