Objective To analyze the prescription rules of formulae containing Radix Trichosanthis in Pharmaceutical Standard of the Ministry of Health of People's Republic of China-Preparation of Traditional Chinese Medicine Prescription(Hereinafter referred to as Preparation of Traditional Chinese Medicine Prescription)based on Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Computing System(TCMICS),then provide reference for clinical application and researching and inventing in new Chinese medicine.Methods Through TCMICS(V3.0),formulae containing Radix Trichosanthis in Preparation of Traditional Chinese Medicine Prescription were collected and organized.Data mining methods,such as frequency statistics,association rules and others,were used to analyze attending diseases,compatibility with commonly used drugs and combination rules,and to conduct in-depth analysis of high-frequency diseases and medicine pairs.Results There were a total of 143 prescriptions containing Radix Trichosanthis,involving 352 kinds of traditional Chinese medicine and 80 attending diseases.Among them,most of the drugs used in combination with Radix Trichosanthis were heat-clearing and detoxifying,phlegm-eliminating and cough-alleviating drugs such as licorice,Platycodon grandiflorum,Radix Scutellariae,Radix Scrophulariae.The high frequency attending diseases were cough,influenza,pharyngitis,diabetes,and the combination of high-frequency drugs used for treatment was basically consistent with the clinical rule of the disease.Conclusion The formulae containing Radix Trichosanthis in Preparation of Traditional Chinese Medicine Prescription have the effect of clearing heat,promoting fluid,dissolving phlegm and relieving cough.
