A Survey on the Current Situation of Self-management Among Perimenopausal Women in Rural Areas of Zhuhai City
Objective To understand the self-management status of perimenopausal women in rural areas of Zhuhai,and to analyze its influencing factors.Methods A total of 459 perimenopausal women who visited four primary medical institutions in a district of Zhuhai from December 2021 to May 2022 were selected by convenient sampling method and investigated by filling out general information questionnaire and perimenopausal self-management questionnaire.Results The average age of 459 perimenopausal women was(49.25±3.15)years old.Among the perimenopausal related symptoms,the incidence of emotional problems(37.31%),sleep disorders(33.30%),hot flashes and night sweats(33.13%)was the highest.The average score of self-management was(1.83±0.35)scores.Monthly income and exercise were the factors affecting the self-management level of perimenopausal women.Conclusion The self-management level of perimenopausal women in rural areas of Zhuhai is generally low.Health care personnel should formulate personalized intervention measures according to the physical and mental characteristics of the population and comprehensively consider the relevant influencing factors to improve their health management.
