Study on Related Factors of Postherpetic Neuralgia in Patients with Herpes Zoster
Objective To study the related influencing factors of postherpetic neuralgia in patients with herpes zoster. Methods A total of 68 patients with herpes zoster admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Zhangshu City from January 2019 to December 2022 were selected.Thirty-two patients with PHN were set as PHN group, and the other 36 patients were set as non-PHN group. The baseline data of the two groups were collected.Univariate and multivariate logistic analysis was used to explore the related influencing factors of PHN in patients with herpes zoster. Results Univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in age, lesion area, acute pain degree, diabetes mellitus, prodromal pain, smoking history and early antiviral treatment between the non-PHN group and the PHN group(P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that age ≥50 years, skin lesion area ≥5%,severe acute pain, and diabetes mellitus were independent risk factors for postherpetic neuralgia in patients with herpes zoster(P<0.05,OR>1);early antiviral therapy was a protective factor for postherpetic neuralgia in patients with herpes zoster(P<0.05,OR<1).Conclusion Age,skin lesion area, acute pain, diabetes mellitus and early antiviral therapy are the influencing factors of PHN in patients with herpes zoster.
