Hyperuricemia(HUA)is a metabolic disease due to increased serum uric acid(SUA)levels.However,long-term use of uric acid-lowering drugs has side effects.As a safe and effective treatment,the research progress on the mechanism of acupuncture and moxibustion is scarce.This article summarizes the regulation mechanism of acupuncture and moxibustion on HUA in recent years,and analyzes the mechanism of promoting uric acid metabolism,alleviating inflammatory response,improving intestinal flora to reduce SUA level,delaying or preventing HUA-related complications.
