Objective To investigate the expression of kinesin family member 26B(KIF26B)in bladder cancer and its relationship with clinicopathological features and prognosis. Methods The RNA expression profile and clinical data of bladder cancer were downloaded from the TCGA database. The expression level of KIF26 B in bladder cancer and its relationship with clinicopathology and prognosis were analyzed by R language related data package. From May 2019 to June 2021,60 cases of bladder cancer and adjacent tissue samples were collected from the Affiliated Hospital of Youjiang University for Nationalities. The expression level of KIF26B in bladder cancer tissues was detected by qRT-PCR,and the relationship between KIF26B expression and clinicopathological features was analyzed. Results In TCGA database, the expression of KIF26B in bladder cancer tissues was higher than that in adjacent normal tissues(P<0.05),and the expression of KIF26B was related to the pathological type, tumor grade,T stage and AJCC stage of bladder cancer(P<0.05),but not to gender, age, tumor N stage and M stage(P>0.05);the tumor-specific survival and overall survival of patients with high KIF26B expression were lower than those with low KIF26B expression(P<0.05).In 60 cases of bladder cancer tissues, the expression of KIF26B in bladder cancer tissues was higher than that in adjacent normal tissues(P<0.05),and the expression of KIF26B was related to tumor grade,T stage,N stage and smoking(P<0.05),but not to gender, age and M stage(P>0.05).Conclusion KIF26B is highly expressed in bladder cancer and is related to the clinicopathological features and prognosis of bladder cancer.
