Application Value of Ultrasound Measurement of Nuchal Translucency in Fetal Malformation Screening
Objective To explore the application value of ultrasound measurement of nuchal translucency(NT)in fetal malformation screening. Methods A total of 300 pregnant women who were registered in our hospital from January 2022 to February 2023 were selected. The thickness of NT was measured by ultrasonography.According to the measurement results,206 cases were divided into normal NT group(NT<2.5 mm)and 94 cases were divided into NT thickening group(NT ≥2.5 mm).The incidence of malformations in fetuses with different NT thickening and the predictive value of different NT thickness for fetal malformations were compared. Results The incidence of fetal malformation in the NT thickening group was higher than that in the NT normal group(P<0.05).In the NT thickening group, the incidence of fetal malformation from high to low was ≥5.5,4.5-5.5,3.5-4.5,2.5-3.5 mm(P<0.05).According to ROC curve analysis, the sensitivity of ultrasonic NT thickness in predicting fetal malformation was 2.5-3.5,3.5-4.5,4.5-5.5 and ≥5.5 mm from high to low(P<0.05),while the specificity was ≥ 5.5,4.5-5.5,3.5-4.5 and 2.5-3.5 mm from high to low(P<0.05).Conclusion Ultrasound NT thickness has a definite application value in fetal malformation screening, and its thickening degree is closely related to the risk of fetal malformation.NT≥2.5 mm can be regarded as the critical standard value of fetal malformation screening.
