Objective To study the clinical efficacy of arc-edge needle combined with platelet-rich plasma(PRP)in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Methods A total of 60 patients with KOA who were treated in our hospital from October 2021 to April 2023 were selected as the research objects.They were divided into group A(n=20),group B(n=20)and group C(n=20)by random number table method.Group A was treated with PRP injection,group B was treated with arc-edge needle,and group C was treated with arc-edge needle+PRP.The clinical efficacy,pain(VAS)score,osteoarthritis index(WOMAC)score,Lysholm knee score and incidence of adverse events were compared among the three groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in group C was 95.00％,which was higher than 80.00％in group A and 75.00％in group B(P＜0.05).The VAS score of the three groups after treatment was lower than that before treatment,and that of group C was lower than that of group A and group B(P＜0.05).After treatment,WOMAC in the three groups was lower than that before treatment,and that in group C was lower than that in group A and group B(P＜0.05).The Lysholm score of the three groups after treatment was higher than that before treatment,and that of group C was higher than that of group A and group B(P＜0.05).The incidence of adverse events in group C was 5.00％,which was compared with 10.00％in group A and 10.00％in group B,the difference was not statistically significant(P＞0.05).Conclusion Arc-edge needle combined with platelet-rich plasma is effective in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis,which can improve the clinical efficacy,reduce the pain of patients,improve the knee joint function index,and have no serious adverse events.It has good effectiveness and safety.
