Research and Application Status of Correlation Between B Vitamins and Migraine
Migraine is a primary headache disorder,usually manifested as recurrent moderate to severe headache,which has become a major cause of disability in patients under the age of 50 worldwide.Migraine is the result of a combination of genetic variations and environmental risk factors.B vitamins are involved in regulating mitochondrial energy metabolism and regulating vascular inflammatory response.In recent years,studies have found that B vitamin hypovitaminosis or B vitamin deficiency(especially riboflavin,folic acid,vitamin B12)is associated with migraine,and supplementation of B vitamins can improve migraine.This article reviews the correlation between B vitamins and migraine,so as to provide reference for its clinical treatment.
