Research and Suggestions on the Health Service System for the Elderly in Jiangsu Province
Objective To analyze the current situation of pension institutions,and put forward suggestions on the innovation of pension institutions,the overall planning of care resources,and the socialization of pension institutions.Methods From January 1 to June 30,2022,104 pension institutions were selected in three regions of Jiangsu Province,and the research was carried out from five aspects:equipment,service provision,staff,operation and satisfaction survey.Results More than 50％of the nursing homes had general nursing beds(94.23％),disinfection(53.85％),monitoring(86.54％),network and computer system(75.00％),caller(67.31％)and other equipment;the services provided by the pension institutions were mainly life(100.00％),psychological care(79.81％),leisure and entertainment(93.27％),and hospice care(79.81％),and could provide grade Ⅱ care(71.15％)and grade 111(85.58％)care.The educational background of the personnel in the pension institutions was mainly secondary school(29.53％)and below(33.13％),and the professional titles were mainly junior professional titles(32.51％)and non-professional titles(55.46％).The two lowest scores in the satisfaction survey of nursing homes were the ability of nursing workers and the matching of rehabilitation equipment.Conclusion The care support system for the disabled elderly in Jiangsu Province still needs to be further improved.It is necessary to add configuration,train high-quality nursing staff and other measures,actively build professional pension service institutions and pension service teams,and promote the development of the medical and nursing industry.
