Objective To compare the effects of metronidazole gel and metronidazole effervescent tablets in the treatment of bacterial vaginosis and the recovery of vaginal microecology.Methods A total of 60 patients with bacterial vaginosis admitted to the First Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Anyuan County from June 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the research objects.All patients were divided into control group and study group according to the random number table method,with 30 patients in each group.The control group was treated with metronidazole effervescent tablets,and the study group was treated with metronidazole gel.The clinical efficacy,symptom improvement time(leucorrhea disappearance time,vaginal itching disappearance time,laboratory test results negative time),vaginal microecological recovery(vaginal flora density distribution and pH value),inflammatory factor levels[interleukin-2(IL-2),interleukin-8(IL-8)and interleukin-13(IL-13)]were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).The disappearance time of leucorrhea abnormality,disappearance time of vaginal itching and negative conversion time of laboratory examination results in the study group were shorter than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the patients with pH＞4.5 in both groups decreased,and the study group decreased more(P＜0.05).The vaginal flora density of grade 1-2 in the two groups increased,and the study group increased more(P＜0.05).The levels of IL-2,IL-8 and IL-13 in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The effect of metronidazole gel in the treatment of bacterial vaginosis is better than that of metronidazole effervescent tablets.It can improve the vaginal microecological environment of patients,reduce the body's inflammatory response,and shorten the time of symptom improvement.It is worthy of application.
