Major depressive disorder(MDD)is a serious mental illness with a prevalence rate of about 15%,which brings enormous pressure to the society.However,the pathogenesis of depression is not clear,and there is a lack of objective diagnostic methods.Biomarkers are measurable indicators that can help diagnose MDD and predict or track response to therapeutic interventions.This article mainly reviews the research on biomarkers of major depression disorder,including common biochemical,genetic,proteomic and other biomarkers,in order to provide new ideas and theoretical basis for the objective diagnosis and efficacy prediction of MDD.
