Comparative Study of Hysteroscopy and Diagnostic Curettage in the Diagnosis of Abnormal Uterine Bleeding
Objective To study the diagnostic value of hysteroscopy and diagnostic curettage for abnormal uterine bleeding(AUB).Methods A total of 60 patients with AUB admitted to Yichun People's Hospital from December 2020 to December 2022 were selected and divided into hysteroscopy group and curettage group by random number table method, with 30 patients in each group.Hysteroscopy group was treated with hysteroscopy, while curettage group was treated with diagnostic curettage. The final pathological diagnosis results were used as the gold standard, the diagnostic results of the two groups and the diagnostic efficacy of patients of different ages were compared. Results There were significant differences in the detection rates of normal endometrium, endometrial hyperplasia, endometrial polyps and uterine fibroids between hysteroscopy group and curettage group(P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in the detection rate of endometrial atrophy and endometrial cancer between the two groups(P>0.05).The diagnostic accuracy of hysteroscopy group was higher than that of curettage group in different age groups, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Hysteroscopy and diagnostic curettage have definite diagnostic value in AUB detection, but the diagnostic efficacy of the former is more ideal.
