Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)is a common and complex chronic disease.Immune dysfunction is an important cause of the occurrence and development of COPD.Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)is a common comorbidity in patients with COPD,which can lead to abnormal immune function and make the body more susceptible to infection and inflammatory response.The coexistence of the two diseases will seriously affect the immune function and prognosis of patients.This article reviews the effects of immune dysfunction on AECOPD,the effects of immune abnormalities caused by T2DM on AECOPD,and the common diagnosis and treatment of AECOPD combined with T2DM,in order to reveal the mutual influence of immune abnormalities between the two diseases,improve the understanding of the immune system of such patients,and provide new ideas for clinical treatment.
