Effect of Hysteroscopic Electrotomy Combined with Intrauterine Placement of Levonorgestrel-releasing Intrauterine System in the Treatment of Endometrial Polyps
Objective To investigate the effect of hysteroscopic electrotomy combined with intrauterine placement of levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system in the treatment of endometrial polyps. Methods A total of 80 patients with endometrial polyps admitted to our hospital from April 2020 to March 2023 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and study group, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was treated with hysteroscopic electrotomy, and the study group was treated with levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system placed in the uterine cavity on the basis of the control group. The endometrial thickness, menstrual volume, estrogen and progesterone receptor expression levels, clinical efficacy and recurrence after half a year of follow-up were compared between the two groups. Results The endometrial thickness and menstrual volume of the study group after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the expression levels of estrogen and progesterone receptors in the glandular cortex and stroma of the study group were lower than those before treatment, and lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was 95.00%,which was higher than 72.50%in the control group(P<0.05).The recurrence rate of the study group was 2.50%,which was lower than 12.50%of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Hysteroscopic electrotomy combined with intrauterine placement of levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system in patients with endometrial polyps has a good effect, which can reduce endometrial thickness, restore normal menstruation, improve hormone receptor expression level and reduce recurrence rate.
